It’s been a few months since our first Ask Alex segment, so we’re excited to be back and sharing episode #2!
Our first question came right on the heels of our previous episode, submitted by one of Alex’s friends, Nick:
Do we have the technology right now to reach the moon, and if not, what are we missing / what’s the hold up?
And the second is another one of my questions, prompted after driving through a field of windmills last weekend in Indiana:
Is nuclear power a viable source of clean energy, and is there any way to help make it less dangerous?
(As a reminder, my oldest son Alex studied mechanical engineering and physics in college and now works as an aerospace engineer. FYI, he’s also the musician whose work is featured at the beginning and end of each podcast episode)
Hope you’ll enjoy listening in, as Alex gives some pretty fascinating answers to both questions (did you know scientists have been researching using a form of salt to create nuclear energy that has a much smaller half life?)!
Enjoy! And if you have any questions for the next Ask Alex episode, which will run shortly after the first of the year, feel free to send them my way!!

HEAD’S UP FOR NEXT EPISODE!
Father Jacob will return again - to discuss history this time! Our topic will be the Cristero War, or la cristiada, which took place between the Mexican people and its violently anti-Catholic government in 1926-1929. If, like me, you had never heard of it before this, Father Jacob suggests we watch For Greater Glory beforehand, a 2012 movie about this historic, and relatively unknown, event featuring Andy Garcia, Eva Longoria and Peter O’Toole (among many others).
In light of the recent U.S. elections, we’re excited to bring you another faith-focused episode that will hopefully help remind us all that there is really only one true ruler in our world, and it’s not any of the people who just ran for President this past week -
